AbiEdu is built for kids and families. We take privacy seriously, especially for children. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Account information (email address, display name), learning progress (exercise attempts, scores, streaks), chat messages, AI coach conversations, and app preferences (language, theme). We also store practice session progress locally on your device.
To provide the learning experience: track progress, personalize the AI coach, enable chat and challenges, calculate achievements, and display scoreboards. We never sell your data. We never show ads.
We use trusted services to run AbiEdu: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), OpenAI (AI study coach), and ElevenLabs (voice responses). These services process data only as needed to provide their functionality. Each has their own privacy policy.
AbiEdu is designed for children ages 6 to 14. We comply with children's privacy best practices. We collect only the minimum data needed for the service. Parents can create and manage accounts for their children. We do not collect location data, device identifiers, or any data beyond what is described here.
Parents can link to their child's account to view progress and activity. Parents can request deletion of their child's account and all associated data at any time.
Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. All connections use HTTPS encryption. We do not store passwords in plain text.
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained.
You can access, update, or delete your personal data from the Settings page. You can request a full export of your data. You can delete your account at any time. For children's accounts, parents can exercise these rights on their behalf.
We use browser cookies for authentication sessions and language/theme preferences. We use localStorage to save practice session progress so you can resume where you left off. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics that identify you.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and notify you via email or in-app notice for significant changes.
